It’s Mocktail Season Now

June 28, 2018

I know not everyone wants a mocktail, but in my case, I am doing dry January! Anyone else? I miss my wine and margaritas, but these will make it a little more exciting on a Friday or Saturday night in. Hopefully you guys enjoy it. They are easy and you most likely have the ingredients in your fridge. No cooking, no shaking, just simple ingredients for refreshing drinks. Cheers 🙂 And click on the link to follow their pages and blogs for more detail.

Mocktail Ideas

Sparkling punch

This is my dad’s recipe for the holidays! He makes it every year! You can make this with champagne or sparkling juice.

  • 2 bottles sparkling juice
  • 2 bottles ginger ale
  • 1 can (46 oz) pineapple juice
  • Frozen strawberries OR freeze strawberries/raspberries in ice cube tray

Diet Ginger Ale and Limes

I discovered this when I was so nauseous pregnant with Mila. It helps your stomach and makes a great mocktail to sip on.

  • 8 oz of ginger ale
  • Freshly squeezed lime juice (half a lime)
  • Lots of ice and you can garnish with strawberries

Margarita

I used Berritt’s Ginger beer, lime soda and jalapenos to make a spicy margarita. You can read more about it at here.  I made a pitcher of it for Memorial Day and it was a hit at the party.

Virgin margarita doesn't use any tequila and a great mocktail for Dry January.

Watermelon Basil

Using fresh watermelon juice, basil, and ice, this mocktail is the perfect combination. Click the link for the recipe.

“Mock Sangria”
  • One can of La Croix water (I prefer pomegranate) with your choice of fruit like strawberries, oranges and raspberries
  • Use a wine glass to make it feel like the real thing.
Cranberry Mocktail
  • 8 oz of soda water with a splash of cranberry juice
  • Fresh lime juice.
Blackberry Lemon Spritzer
  • Equal parts lemonade and lemon lime soda, fresh blackberries.
  • Mix lemonade and soda, add blackberries and muddle
  • Serve over crushed ice with a squeeze of lime.
Arnold Palmer
  • Diet lemonade and unsweetened tea with a lemon
  • Served with lots of ice.
Passion Fruit Tea + Lemonade
  • Similar to the Arnold Palmer, use equal parts Tazo Passion Fruit Tea, lemonade
  • Served with lots of ice.
Basil Lemonade
  • Using Crystal Light lemonade
  • 1-2 basil leaves per glass
  • Strawberries and/or blueberries and lemon
