Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and I wanted to highlight some fun self-care gift ideas and date options! I think experiences are the best gift and honestly, I would take any of these experiences this Valentine’s Day!
Now Massage – There are a few locations across the city, and I had a great massage here. The ambiance is also gorgeous. They offer 30-minute massages, too! You can see the reel from my experience here.
Face Foundrie – My go-to facial spot. A gift card here would be amazing. Plus mention me for 10% off your first time. My full video is here.
Aire – One of the most luxurious experiences I have ever had. It’s a splurge for sure, but I have experienced nothing like it. I’d skip the massage, though, and spend all the time in the various baths they offer. See my experience here.
JW Marriott – I have one of THE BEST massages here. It’s luxurious + I love their pool area that you can use post-massage time! See the spa here.
Urban Oasis – Some of the best massages have been here! All my prenatal massages too. Their masseuses are highly trained and can really work in specific areas if need be.
Legendary Spa – Legendary does it all, and they do it expertly – lashes and brows, nails and nail art, skincare, makeup application, and spray tans. They have locations in Lakeview, West Loop, and Wicker Park. Get a gift card here.
Disney100: The Exhibition – This is for all the Disney fans out there! This experience is really more for adults since there’s quite a bit of reading and history involved. But it was so cool to see Disney evolve over the 100 years! Mi Tocaya is down the street, so you can grab dinner before or after and make a night of it! My experience is posted here!
Candlelight Concerts – Great for date night, but I recommend getting tickets early. They do sell out many of their concerts. Timeless Love Songs from Classic Films is playing on Feb 16 at Stan Mansion; as of now, tickets are still available.
Cozymeal Cooking Classes – Chef Andy offers in-home cooking classes, and Manny and I did a sushi-making class! He brings everything and cleans up. He starts with the basics, like how to hold a knife and cut, cook various ingredients, etc. We loved it and would definitely do it again!
Chicago Theatre Week – If you want to gift a theatre junkie in your life, Chicago Theatre Week is coming up! Various shows across the city are $15 or $30! You can see the full list of our recommendations here.
Chicago Restaurant Week – This annual event is happening right now! Reservations might be hard, but you can always try! You can see my recommendations and some of the best deals here.
Heritage Caviar Kits – When you want to stay home but make it special, caviar kits from Heritage are available, and they come with everything! We did it for Mother’s Day one year, and we set up a caviar tasting at home. It’s so good!
Geja’s Cafe – A classic Chicago institution for fondue and they offer kits to-go! Set up a romantic evening with some chocolate and cheese fondue.
Game Night – Some of my favorite dates involve playing games! There are a bunch of options, but my favorites are Whirlyball, Stay & Play Cafe, and Emporium Arcade Bar. All three are shown here.
Hopefully, some of these give you an idea this Valentine’s Day! If you want to also gift yourself some self-care things, I have some ideas! ENJOY!
Christine
