One of my favorite gift guides to do every year are the Chicago themed ones. I actually do these guides first because they tend to take me the longest! Many of the gifts I chose this year are from small businesses (like Etsy, Smaller Things, etc) and many made here as well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Chicago Neighborhood Candle: They have lots of neighborhoods to choose from!
Chicago Thermal Mug: For all the coffee lovers! You can purchase beans from a local shop and make this a Chicago coffee themed gift idea. Could also make a nice CPS teacher gift!
Chicago Traffic Print: Cute over a bar area or even in a bathroom.
West Loop Mug: They can customize this for any neighborhood! They had a lot of options last time I checked.
Look at Me Moving to Chicago: This was a best seller last year!
Old Style Socks: Stocking stuff or grab gift in a company’s grab bag!
Gene and Georgetti steak boxes: Send a little piece of Chicago by shipping steaks nationwide!
Chi Baseball cap: I have a very similar one I wear all the time!
Bears bag set: I bought this for Manny as a housewarming presents! Its nice to have during parties outside or even in a basement.
Chicago Fannie May chocolate: I did a campaign for these new covers and they were all drawn by a Columbia College alumni student! Such a great gift for out-of-towners.
Chicago Bulls sweatshirt: This is so cute for the basketball season! Hopefully they are good this year 🙂
Chicago ombre sweatshirt: I like this sweatshirt because it’s different than other Chicago ones I have seen.
Chicago Handshake Game: Made locally here in Chicago! Add your favorite local beer and gift card to a restaurant and make it an entire Chicago themed gift for a date night in! Could be good in a grab bag or a hostess gift.
Chicago kids pajamas: These are Chicago themed pajamas made here locally! Great gift for your kids, new parents, grandkids, etc
Or you can head to the Chicago Architecture Center and find lots of Chicago themed gifts this year!
There are many more Chicago themed gifts that I will be sharing on stories! They are located right off Michigan avenue so if you are in the area and love Chicago history and architecture, check it out! Some of my picks from the gift shop are below!
