A Chicago Girls Gift Guide

November 9, 2020

We all miss our friends this year. I know I do, I wish I could see them all over the holidays, but unfortunately COVID took that. I put together a list of gifts perfect to send your friends this year. Or even keep them for yourself! Everything in this Chicago girls gift guide is made in Chicago and sold here. Shopping local is really important this holiday season, so I hope you like what I put together 🙂

Chicago girls gift guide with lots of local gifts from boutiques and shops

For the home

I am a huge candle lover! Almost a little too much and I love these candles! This Donut candle from Cozy and Cashmere are made by a local mom! She focuses on using 100% soy wax with cotton wicks for a long lasting burn. They also last a lot longer than normal candles. I have few on the way I can’t wait to try!

Clementine prints are classic pieces for your home and they actually did our wedding invites! Their stationary is also beautiful.

Chicago Neighborhood Art from a Chicago follower and business owner at The Type League Press. You can have this as a print or canvas. I think it would be so cute over a bar!

This Moving To Chicago Mug would be a perfect gift for a Chicago girl that just moved to the city.

I love this print so much. It gives me all old school Chicago vibes. Foursided is a shop that many of you suggested and so glad you told me about it. They have locations in Andersonville and Lakeview, they ship and do curbside pickup!

This past October, I got a chance to visit this Latina women owned plant shop in Pilsen, Semillas. It’s adorable and she has such great collection. I left with a succulent that I still have managed to keep alive. I think plants are always a great gift for someone or even yourself.

Apparel

One of my favorite boutiques in Chicago is because of their Chicago collection. Alice and Wonder Chicago Sweatshirt and Midwest Honey are my favorite. They have the cutest stuff and everything is available online and pickup too.

‘Tis the season for face masks! These tie dye masks are from Lost Girl’s Vintage, which is an awesome women owned boutique. It’s a vintage store mixed with some new apparel and accessories.

Self-Care

This self-care bundle from Hazel in Lincoln Square was recommended by one of you! This bundle includes a bath bomb, wine cooler great for wine in the bath and a Valuspa candle, which are some of the best!

During quarantine in May, I actually bought this Scratch Goods kit and I loved it. They are located in the West Loop, offer curbside pick up and I suggest the face mask kit!

Lastly, add a gift card or pick up a few books for your friends from the one Black, Chicago owned bookstore, Semicolon.

So that’s it! Whether you are putting together a package for a Chicago girl that misses home or need a gift for yourself, there is something for everyone! What do you think? Anything you like?! Until next time,
